Salamasina Pati was born on February 27, 1967, in Tutuila, America Samoa to the late Joseph and late Teletala Talamaivao. In her early years, she lived in San Francisco, California, and later moved to Hawaii where she graduated from Farrington High School in Honolulu. Salamasina married her husband, Dr. Ta’afua Pati on November 10, 1983.  From this union, three children were born. Salamasina later received her doctorate from the Institute of Teaching God’s Word in Rockdale, Texas.

She lived a fulfilling life as a wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend.
