Penny Elaine, age 61, of Copperas Cove, previously of Spanaway, Washington passed away on Saturday, October 10, 2020, in Temple. She will be placed with her husband in Tahoma National Cemetery at a later date.
Penny was born on March 18, 1959, in Waco, Texas to the late Bobby and Winnie Miller Kennedy. She graduated from University High School in Waco, Texas in 1977. In 1980, she joined the United States Army and served for four years. Penny married Bennie Favors in 1983. She founded her own cleaning business in Fort Lewis, Washington which she operated for several years. In 2005 she worked overseas with KBR for several years before returning back to Washington. She enjoyed her time overseas helping military families. In her spare time, she enjoyed spending time with her family and her beloved dogs.
Penny was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 34 years.
Penny is survived by her daughters, Robin Coleman, Denise Bolar and husband, Frederick, Lauran Favors; sister, Kytha Rivaz; her two grandchildren, Chelsea Coleman, and Kalil Bolar; and her two great-grandchildren, Deven Williams, Jr., and Chais’Lynn Gates.
