Paul Harris

Paul D. Harris, age 69, of Killeen, passed away on Tuesday, August 10, 2021. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, August 18, 2021, at Viss Family Funeral Home, 1614 S. FM 116, Copperas Cove, TX 76522. Services will be live-streamed on our Facebook page at Viss Family Funeral Home.

Paul was born on June 21, 1952, to the late Lester and Alice Weathers Harris in Houston, Texas. He worked in construction all of his life and specialized in commercial remodeling. While working in Killeen, he met Judy Mendoza on a job site and they married in December of 2002, after her family approved. Judy collected Santa Claus’s and when she married Paul, she married a true Santa. A man with a giving heart, always looking for ways to serve others. For many years, he was the Santa at the Killeen mall, a job he enjoyed. Paul was a man of deep faith, which influenced his kind and generous heart. He was a member of St. Martin’s Episcopal Church in Copperas Cove.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, David Harris.

Paul is survived by his wife, Rev. Judy Harris; children, Douglas Harris, Katie Worthington and husband, Bruce, Jean Walston and husband, Jason, Chris Mendoza and wife, Amy Jo; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Paul is also survived by David and Nichole Fischbacher and their three girls that he also considered his family.
