Martha Duncan Hunnicutt

Martha Sue Duncan Hunnicutt, age 71 of Copperas Cove, Texas passed away on the evening of November 19, 2022, surrounded by her family. There are no services planned at this time.

Martha was born on September 5, 1951, in Douglas, Georgia to the late Miles Webb Duncan and Annie Durden Duncan the youngest of twelve children. She grew up and attended school in West Green and Douglas, GA. She was part of the Coffee County High School class of 1969 in Douglas. She moved to Gainesville, Florida, and was a graduate of Powell’s Beauty Academy class of 1971. She married Charles (Chris) Hunnicutt on September 5, 1971. She had several jobs over the years including daycare provider, caregiver, cashier, and Hitchcock’s Markets pricing coordinator in Alachua, FL. She enjoyed cheering for her children and their friends at sporting events, was a Brownie troop leader, and was part of the PTA. She loved old westerns, gospel music, Jerry Clower, and her cats. She moved to Copperas Cove, TX with her husband Chris Hunnicutt in February 2014 to be closer to her children. She continued to love her family, friends and making holiday goodies to share.

She was preceded in death by her parents, most of her siblings, and a great many loved ones.

Martha is survived by her husband of 51 years, Chris Hunnicutt; daughter, Heather Hunnicutt; son, Miles Hunnicutt; brother, Durden Duncan; sister, Doris Beville; aunts, Joy Batten and Lemmie Daugherty; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
