Julio Miranda-Ortiz

Julio L. Miranda-Ortiz, age 33, of Copperas Cove, passed away on Tuesday, October 12, 2021. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 PM, Wednesday, October 20, 2021, at Viss Family Funeral Home, 1614 S. FM 116 in Copperas Cove. Visitation will be from 5-7 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.

Julio was born on October 28, 1987, in Guayma, Puerto Rico to Julio Miranda and Carmen Ortiz. He grew up in Puerto Rico and Massachusetts before moving to Central Texas. Julio has worked the last five years at Ajinomoto Company in Lampasas as a cook lead. Julio was a hard worker and his company depended on him greatly. He married Ciera Santos on July 27, 2021, in Copperas Cove. Julio loved to cook for his family and looked forward to coming home from work every day and spending time with his wife and newborn son. Pizza nights were the best nights in the Miranda home.

Julio is survived by his wife, Ciera Santos Miranda; son, Julio (Jr.); parents, Julio and Carmen Ortiz Miranda; sister, Gladelys Miranda; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Julio will also be missed by his many friends that he worked with.
