Copperas Cove

John David Paolinelli, 78, of Copperas Cove, passed away on Monday, September 13, 2021.

A virtual-only memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. via Zoom on Saturday, September 18, 2021. His ashes will be interred at Woodlawn Cemetery in Steele, ND next to his father at a later time. John was born in Galveston, Texas.  He was a multiple sports standout at Sabine Pass (Texas) High School and Marietta High School in Oklahoma before graduating from Porterville High in California. A one-time semi-professional bowler in Nevada, and a life-long avid golfer, he married Fran Hall on May 21, 1963, in Elko, Nevada, and was a well driller across the western United States for nearly five decades before retiring and moving to Copperas Cove in 2013.

John is preceded in death by his father, Joseph David Paolinelli, his mother, Lenora, his sister, Joy Skiles, his brother-in-law, Irvin Hall and his nephew, David Goyne.

John is survived by his wife of 58 years, Frances Marie Paolinelli; his son, Richard David Paolinelli, and daughter-in-law, Cheryl Ann; daughter Chantel Kilmer, and son-in-law, Bill; and his son Joseph Dean Paolinelli, and daughter-in-law, Giovanna; His sister, Stacey Parks, and her husband, Danny; His grandchildren, Ileah Nicole Matsuo, John David Arguelles, Brenden Kilmer, and Giovana Marie Paolinelli; his great-grandchildren, Gibson Buffa and Hiro Matsuo; his nieces, Jaime Skiles Robinson, Lisa Goyne, Kristen Stephenson, and Sheila Thompson; and his nephews, Rickey Hall and Ryan Parks.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be given in his name to your charity or other organization of choice. The family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to all of our friends who have reached out and supported us during this time. We also thank as the many healthcare and hospice workers who provided John with his medical needs for the past three years as he struggled with several illnesses.
