Guye Amspacher

Guye E. Amspacher, age 58, of Copperas Cove, passed away on Friday, June 11, 2021. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, June 18, 2021, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 922 Lutheran Church Road, Copperas Cove, TX 76522.

Guye was born in York, PA to the late Melvin and Phyllis Hunt Amspacher on August 6, 1962. He was born into a military family that was stationed all over the world before settling in Coryell County. Guye graduated from Gatesville High School in 1980. In 1984, he joined the United States Army and served for nearly eight years. While serving in Berlin, Germany, he met Elke Sendner and they later married on June 30, 1989, in Berlin. After his time with the Army, he wanted to be close to his parents and he settled in Copperas Cove to raise his family. Guye enjoyed mechanics and could work on anything that could move. Guye was confirmed in 1982 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Copperas Cove and has been a longtime member. He will be remembered as being a loving father.

Guye is survived by his wife, Elke Amspacher; children, Kevin Amspacher, Jessica Amspacher, Rachel Amspacher, Sean Amspacher; his nephew, Gary Amspacher II., siblings, Gary Amspacher, Teri Amspacher, Melvin Amspacher II, Jacob Amspacher, Olive Eisenhauer, Vonny Harris, and Vernon Amspacher.
