Gloria Belser

November 10, 1955 — January 30, 2023

Gloria Jean Belser, 67, passed away on January 30, 2023. A Memorial Service will be held via Zoom for Gloria on Saturday, February 11, 2023, at 2:00 pm. Please call 513-344-6366 for the Zoom information.

Gloria was born in Montgomery, Alabama on November 10, 1955. After graduating from Alabama State University, she taught public school for many years at Hayneville Elementary School where she did a variety of loving educational activities in her classroom, even some cooking. Gloria loved working with children---believing that all children should be taught to read, spell, and write. So she devoted her whole teaching career to making this happen for the children she worked with.

After retiring from public school teaching in 2005 due to some health issues, Gloria was not satisfied with staying at home nor did she allow this to hinder her from her first love---that of educating children. So in 2007, she began teaching at Brown Private School helping 3 and 4 year old children learn to read. Gloria worked here for three years and even helped her little ones to publish a book entitled The Day I Was Born.

After finally retiring in 2010, Gloria now devoted her life to helping people--especially the elderly. She would take them to doctor appointments, shopping, and definitely out to eat at restaurants. Gloria would also take them out for a ride to just enjoy nature or to city parks. During this time in her life, Gloria also volunteered a lot at her church-teaching vacation Bible school and writing and directing many plays. She was part of the neighborhood watch because she believed in doing her part to keep her neighborhood safe.

While living in Montgomery, Gloria had come in contact with several Jehovah's Witnesses and even studied with some, including her sister, by way of the telephone. With increasing health concerns, she decided to move to Copperas Cove to live with her sister and brother-in-law. While visiting her sister during earlier years, Gloria had always visited the Kingdom Hall.

However, at this time in her life, she was gradually making the truth her own.

Gloria was known as a very happy person---always cheerful and finding something to smile about. She was able to converse with all kinds of people and never met a stranger. She always had wonderful stories to share with her friends.

She will truly be missed by her sister, Virginia Carnes, (husband-Phillip); Step Brothers; Sisters, Faith Campbell, Shelia Campbell, Darcia Campbell, Cedric Campbell(wife-Kenosha); brothers, Leonard Campbell(wife-Andrea), and Joshua Campbell(wife-Alicia); Daughter, Latarchia Green; Sons, Eric Belser(wife-Sandra), and Gerric Belser.
